Guitar Hero Monday Memories: "This Love" by Maroon 5

Hi people! A new series that I decided to do without ripping off anybody!  This is a new series where I talk about past songs of the Guitar Hero franchise. (Because, you know, it’s me and I have to talk about that)

So, to start things off I have no shame in saying that I like Maroon 5, it’s a band that I enjoy listening to and they put out good records that did not disappoint me. (Looking at you Cobra Starship) that’s why my first Guitar Hero Monday Memory will be Maroon 5’s biggest hit: This Love.
This is the second single of Maroon 5’s debut album Songs About Jane and reached the Top 10 singles charts as late as 2004 when the album was released in 2002, because reasons. Maroon 5 has Rock-Pop style of music with songs being actually very sad sometimes but hiding that in a very upbeat guitar riff. The group has been evolving its sound in every different album with the latest one, Overexposed, being more pop than ever.

This Love was released for Guitar Hero 5 DLC as part of the Pop 1 Track Pack on June 29th, 2010 being compatible with Band Hero and Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock.
Now let’s check the charts. The vocals are the most fun for me, it took me a while achieving the Full Combo with the weird Guitar Hero vocal engine but liking the song helps, it is very easy once you get the intonation down. Drums are pretty simple too; the thing that could get you more trouble is the double kicks every other beat. The bass is a joke it has some open notes that can confuse people new to the GH way of charting bass, but even that way is still super easy. Finally we have the guitar and here’s where we have some challenge, the song goes normally during the verses, but in the chorus we get some Maroon 5 distinctive guitar play, with lots of strumming, chords everywhere and hand shifting, the ending of the song looks very simple but it’s actually very hard to keep the rhythm with all the different sounds playing in the song.

So, hey guys this was the first GH Monday Memories! Tell me what you think, tell me that I lack musical taste, tell me anything! And leave suggestions for upcoming editions!
BYE!!!

Random Gaming Trivia: Foxdark22.

Hello, this is a thing I found and I decided to make one for myself

1. Very first video game.

Console: Super Mario World; Arcade: Rally X (It's the first one I remember)

2. Your favorite character

I was gonna say Fox McCloud, but Falco Lombardi takes the prize, his ability to be a dick even when he is being saved by someone is amazing, but, in the end, you know that he cares about the people he ''hates''.

3. A game that is underrated.

Vanquish. Vastly overlooked for being ''too generic'', it's one heck of a fun game. Probably my favorite ''pure'' 3rd person shooter.

4. Your guilty pleasure game.

Band Hero. As much as I like the music/rhythm games, Band Hero has a very distinctive set-list and man, you can hate the Spice Girls as much as you want, but Wannabe is one catchy tune.

5. Game character you feel you are most like (or
wish you were).

Falco Lombardi. Again. I said that he is a dick but he cares about his friends, a lot. That is pretty much me.

6. Most annoying character.

Fi. From TLOZ SS. GO DIE IN A FIRE! I think everyone has complained a lot about her/it so I will too. If you pick a key she will tell you that there's 89% probability that the key goes in a nearby door. YOU DON'T SAY! But she loses annoyance points for being a hawt robot thing. HEHE.

7. Favorite game couple.

Link and Zelda. Because he goes through all the trouble to rescue her. And that's pretty much the ultimate fantasy: Kicking tons of ass to finally get some ''thanks''.

8. Best soundtrack.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It has a collection of all the awesome Nintendo music plus great Sonic and Metal Gear music. Just awesome.

9. Saddest game scene.

Metroid Other M / Super Metroid. When Mother Brain kills the Baby Metroid that comes to help Samus.

10. Best gameplay.

I don't have a favorite but the Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock engine it's almost perfect.

11. Gaming system of choice.

Wii. I love the games on the system plus I don't need the SNES or NES to play the classics.

12. A game everyone should play.

Rhythm Heaven Fever. A game so happy and colorful.

13. A game you’ve played more than five
times.

Resident Evil 4.

StarFox 64.

14. Current (or most recent) gaming wallpaper.

15. Post a screenshot from the game you’re
playing right now.

16. Game with the best cut scenes.

Resident Evil 4. It was a very close decision between this and Super Smash Bros. Brawl but in the end, Ada Wong moved my wang... sorry...

17. Favorite antagonist.

Can't let you do that Star Fox!

18. Favorite protagonist.

Samus Aran from METROID PRIME. Link from TLOZ TP. Judy Nails from GH.

19. Picture of a game setting you wish you lived in.

20. Favorite genre.

I play everything and from every genre, but I have to say that Rhythm/Music games have given me the most satisfaction.

21. Game with the best story.

The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword. I love it.

22. A game sequel which disappointed you.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 Wii. Nothing changed from 2011, almost nothing from 2010. Gosh, I have played it so little, and I got it on launch.

23. Game you think had the best graphics or art
style.

The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword. It might not have the best graphics, but the art style is great.

24. Favorite classic game.

If I need to tell you the name of the game, then I will take your gamer card away.

25. A game you plan on playing.

Assassin’s Creed III... ON WII U BIATCHES! Also CoD Black Ops 2 because I loved Blops 1.

26. Best voice acting.

Assassin's Creed II. I dunno, I guess I don't hear the games enough to give an expert opinion and I really like most voice acting here.

27. Most epic scene ever.

The great invasion in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I get the chills everytime I see it. The most awesome pilots in the universe join forces for the first time to KICK SOME ACE!

28. Favorite game developer.

Why? Because of the stellar job they made with the Wii versions of Guitar Hero. Also count Treyarch for the great Wii Call of Duty games and, of course, Nintendo my favorite developer since I was a child.

29. A game you thought you wouldn’t like,
but ended up loving.

When I played it FPS' weren't as big as now and I was kinda reluctant to play them, but this game had something in it that made me love it. It's in my Top 3 of N64 games.

30. Your favorite game of all time.

The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask, probably without competition. Also I want to mention International Superstar Soccer Deluxe, THE BEST FOOTBALL GAME EVER. I used to play that game so much on my SNES. And in current gen I will say Alan Wake.

That's my stuff. I hope you enjoyed and stick around for more awesomeness... coming soon...

BandFuse: Rock Legends. A new guitar game... Oh boy...

This is shocking news! A new real-guitar-based game! What is the name? BandFuse: Rock Legends... And let me tell you how they came up with the name:

''Let's put the other names of music games in a hat and the thing that comes up is the new name''
And that's how they did it.

Well, Realta Entertainment Group (?) will bring this game for the Xbox 360 in which, thanks to an adaptor in the same fashion as Rocksmith, you'll be able to shred with any guitar the tunes included in the game, going from Maroon 5 to Coldplay, from Slash to Five Finger Death Punch, Tom Petty to Lynyrd Skynyrd and more to be announced.

The game promises to be better than Power Gig (HAHAHAHAHA... sorry, can't help myself) (but seriously, Rock Revolution is better than that) and better than Rocksmith in terms of lag, Rocksmith was pretty bad when it came out, but I understand that the patch fixed most problems.

It'll use actual guitar tablatures instead of highways like Rocksmith or Rock Band 3 in this attempt to be more and more realistic. Also the interactive training videos will be lead by former Guns'n Roses star Slash. That's kinda nice, I guess.

Also the company annouced several partnerships: besides Slash, obviously, it has linked with Fender and also the film company Relativity Media to probably make some TV show or movie about the game or maybe some product placement. About this the CEO of Realta, Steve Gomes says:

"There'll be a lot of fun stuff related to that that's going to be coming up in about 30-60 days, that will tie into those actual things happening and being released."

Ok, then that's the most important stuff from this new game. What do you think? Will it be the nest big hit? Or will it suck hard? Let me know in the comments.
